We’ve recently gotten into Portlandia, and if you haven’t watched it, you really should give it a try. You would especially love it if you have ever been to, lived in or know anything about Portland. A lot of the sketches are hilarious, but one sketch got a little real for us with an important message from the Portland Nerd Council.

In my lifetime, I’ve been bullied and picked on for my nerdy obsessions, but I’m damn proud to be what society would call nerdy and geeky. And yeah, people who wear non-prescription glasses for no reason and only know about superheroes from the movies are REALLY annoying, but we can’t blame them for trying to like our stuff. Our stuff is awesome, of course they’d try to be into too!

Can being a nerd be defined?
