We’ve had our PS4 for about six months now and we know we made the right choice in the Xbox/PS debate. But unlike our old systems, there isn’t a wide variety of games out that we’re itching to play. We’ve played all the way through Shadows of Mordor, did all the story missions for the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy packs for Disney Infinity 2.0, loved being pirate-assassins in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, realized how flipping’ scary Clickers are in The Last of Us, and Emily is on her third play through of Dragon Age: Inquisition (yeah, I said third).
And while Destiny, Grand Theft Auto V, and Far Cry 4 aren’t really our thing, there is one game we’ve been looking forward to — Batman: Arkham Knight. So it’s not been a good Monday after finding out that the game has been delayed… again. As if to make our anguish worse, Rocksteady has a released a game play trailer that makes us even sadder that we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to get our hands on it.
This isn’t the first time Rocksteady has teased us with gameplay trailers, they did the same thing for Arkham Origins before its release too. Comingsoon.net published a statement from the developer regarding the delay, citing their desire to never compromise on their games (Maybe Ubisoft should have thought about this before releasing Unity). Our only consolation is that, based on the trailer, the game looks like it will be worth the wait.
Batman: Arkham Knight will be released worldwide June 23, 2015 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
