Happy San Diego Comic Con! Y’all have probably been there for a day or two by now, gotten the lay of the land, and maybe did a little camping outside Hall H. And you know what you should do to reward yourself for all your hard Con-ing? Have a drink or two! Since we never actually go into the Convention Center, and just spend our Comic-Cons outside doing offsite events and hanging out, our priority tends to be sampling all the amazing booze and food San Diego has to offer — which is a lot!

This list is just a tiny, tiny sampling of places you can get a drink and chill out at during SDCC 2015, and we have to remind you to please drink responsibly!

Dublin Square Irish Pub

Where: 554 4th Ave., San Diego, CA 92101

The Dublin Square isn’t doing any special Comic Con things (that we know of), it’s just our favorite place in the Gaslamp. We’ve come here very time we’ve been in San Diego and it’s awesome. They’ll have live music on Friday and Saturday, so enjoy!

Heroes Brew: Craft Beer Festival

Where: The Loma Club, 2960 Truxtun Rd, San Diego, CA 92106

Screen Shot 2015-07-09 at 10.03.14 PM

After spending the morning and afternoon navigating the Con, head over to the Heroes Brew festival for some much needed beer. The festival is three hours long and tickets are still available for those of you who want the opportunity to taste more than 40 breweries creations — and give to a good cause. You might be dressed like Captain America, but your beer money goes to benefit actual soldier through The Warrior Foundation-Freedom Station. And the festival only goes until 6 PM, so you’ll have plenty of time to make one more trip to the convention or get in line for Hall H (maybe).

Quad Ale House

Where: 868 5th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101

If you’re a big fan of Cyanide and Happinessyou NEED to hit up the Quad Alehouse. They have a flight of beers exclusively for Comic Con based on the beloved series.

Villain Pub

Where: Henry’s Pub, 618 5th Ave, San Diego, CA 92101

We can all agree that we know how your night should end — drinking at the Villain Pub. The How It Should Have Ended crew will be on hand for some events all weekend at the converted Henry’s Pub, so where your best villain cosplay and prepare to fight ( a hangover the next morning).

Where: 611 5th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101

If you’re looking for a fancier and pricier boozing experience, you could hit up the Searsucker and try one of their 10 Comic Con-themed cocktails. Might I suggest the Drax the Destroyer or the Princess Leia Press?

Super Video Game Land

Where: Mission Brewery, 1441 L Street, San Diego, CA 92101

Mission Brewery, located just a bit of a walk from the Convention Center, will be how to the art of Super Video Game Land and a few events throughout the Con. The Brewery will host a meeting with the artist and gaming night on Friday and a Smash Bros. tournament on Saturday. Added bonus? You can get $1 off pints if you show your badge.

Half Door Brewing Co.

Where: 903 Island Ave. San Diego, CA 92101

We picked this one cause we’re suckers for a good Irish brewery and because it’s so close to the Convention Center — just a block from Petco Park. They have a great beer selection, along with lots of food and other assortments of booze. They probably won’t bat an eye if you show up exhausted and only half in cosplay.
